There is a section of BMX Jumps on the back track that are in consistent use for the local children of Nhulunbuy. These jumps have been here for a very long time. There has never been a mention of demolishing any of these jumps before, even though the corporation mows behind there. There are people in this town that believe that these said jumps are for motorbikes which is not true.

Children use the jumps during the school holidays, children use these jumps instead of being stuck inside. These jumps are part of our children growing up. Children can make new friends, they expand there social skills, they expand the knowledge on what they need to grow into an adult. This is what it means to be children/ youth.

Destroying something that brings happiness to the children of Gove will only show how our local councils/corporations are. It shows children/youth the disappointment of what is to happen when they cant meet up for a quick ride before heading home or before school.

These jumps need to be saved and the only way to do this is to push forward and help us save the jumps for the kids.
