To everyone who signed the petition to save the Iain Anderson Show:
I want to explain why my communication and regular updates regarding our campaign have suddenly gone silent on Facebook.
As the chap that set up the petition, I have been very vocal in our opposition to the BBC’s decisions. Recently, Facebook disabled my account—which I’ve held for 20 years—citing "bot-like" activity. Whether this was a technical error or a result of our high-profile activism, the result is the same: 17,000 photos, years of videos, and 4,500 followers and friends have disappeared.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve realised how many folk I was chatting to with no other means of contact than Facebook Messenger. I am not ignoring you; I simply don't have access to those messages anymore.
But you cannot keep a Hebridean down. I am rebuilding, and I wanted to take this opportunity to share my new Facebook link and a new home for my music and archives on YouTube.
