We, the undersigned visitors to the Holtsville Ecology Site and Animal Preserve, where we bring our children, grandchildren, friends and family to enjoy the company of the many rescued, non-releasable and rehabilitated animals at this wonderful facility, are pleading with our community members and leaders to keep our Ecology Site and Animal Preserve OPEN.

We have always observed the facility; its animal exhibits and surrounding areas to be immaculately clean. The animals continue to appear well maintained, physically and mentally healthy, overall comfortable and happy. There are always Brookhaven Town personnel on site to answer questions about the animals and to care for them.

While providing necessary and essential care for these rescued and non-releasable animals, the Ecology Site provides the community with the opportunity to be educated on animal care, preservation and conservation.

We urge the Town of Brookhaven to support this treasured resource which provides a lifelong ethical and established safe haven for the animals while providing the visitors with the opportunity to learn and experience these unique animals. The residents of Brookhaven Town are asking you to help preserve their generational traditions and community educational opportunities. The Ecology Site staff and leadership deserve our support for working so hard to provide the animals and the community with this outstanding facility.
