Save the Hellfire
Oct 10, 2019

South Dublin County Council, in partnership with Coillte, are proposing to develop the Dublin Mountains Visitor Centre at the Hell Fire Club Forest.

Coillte Nature, a new not for profit entity within Coillte has a mandate to target the delivery of new woodlands facilitating species diversity, biodiversity and carbon sequestration as part of the Government’s National Forestry Programme. We welcome the plan to gradually convert the commercial conifer tree species in these forests to a mixed forest of native woodland species. However, as you are aware we believe this  €22m development is overscaled and inappropriately located.

Coillte is seeking your views on this project and the closing date is Friday 11th October. We are asking you to once again to please take two minites of your time and voice your concerns re these overscaled plans at the Hellfire & Massy’s Wood:

Simply click this link and tick your response to 3 questions and leave your comment as to what you think of their proposed €22m plans! https://coillte.citizenspace.com/dublin-mountains/dublin-mountains-forests/consultation/subpage.2019-06-14.5918010589/
