According to recent correspondence from Paul Gogarty, Mayor of SDCC "the key opportunity from a planning and land use perspective is to use the An Bord Pleanala process to tease out any environmental concerns, to scrutinise plans as outlined, and with that to either ask that it refuse permission or to impose conditions in keeping with some people’s idea of what would constitute a more sustainable development. All this should begin in the next 10 days or so." It's important An Bord Pleanala are aware how many people do not support this development and wish to maintain the natural integrity of this landscape and protect this natural amenity and fragile ecosystem from development.
