The Heart Dept is a BIPOC Community Center at the intersection of the arts, wellness and social justice. One part event rental venue, one part “community home”, this historic building in the Arts District of DTLA has become a safe haven for communities of color, femmes and queer folks since being founded in September 2022.

The Heart Department is under siege and challenges by the Owner/Landlord. We need the support and signatures of our Community Leaders, LA City Council, and neighbors. By signing this petition it is a statement of community support for us to stay in our building

We are looking to raise $60,000 - $100,000 by June 01, 2023. Other ways you can help is by:

• sending our fundraiser to your email list post on social media 

• post custom video reel
• host a fundraising event
• volunteer with Shelley to fundraise (call and email, commissions available)
• attend and donate to fundraising events
• help to confirm investor/sponsor commitments
