Save the Great Wall of China

Save the Great Wall of China
El problema
These days, everyone has heard of the Great Wall of China! The one in Cornwall, I mean - you know - at Kea Corner on the A39 between Playing Place and Truro.
Some might say it's just a wall with a few mugs/ducks/bricks/ unmentionables lined up on it. But its admirers, who come from as far afield as Derbyshire, know that it's so much more.
It's an enigma - who is the anonymous artist, known by some as Wallsy, who places the objects following some esoteric reasons and patterns of his own?
It's a mystery - what does it mean? Is it a satirical comment on contemporary Cornish life? A political protest? A spiritual message? Or just a bit of random and weirdly pointless but cheering-up entertainment?
And it's a (quick check of thesaurus) conundrum - why do the objects keep being removed? Is this, as we have been led to believe, a story of the underdog's struggle for self-expression against the controlling, forces of Cornwall Council and Cormac? Or is it something even more complex?
SIGN THIS PETITION if:
- you want to show your support for the mystery figure to keep on putting weird stuff on the Wall
- you want to tell Cornwall Council to stop messing with True Art and instead get on with doing useful stuff, for example putting up brown signs directing people from the A30 to the Great Wall of China
- you haven't got anything better to do
The Great Wall of China (in Cornwall) is an important cultural object for the 21st Century, and it needs YOU!
After all, it can be seen from space, and we've got the satellite pictures to prove it.
