Save the Foxes in Our Community Grounds

Save the Foxes in Our Community Grounds
The Issue
Watching the foxes play from afar brings me immense joy and comfort, providing a sense of tranquility amidst the mental health challenges I face, such as depression and anxiety. These foxes, with their natural shyness and harmless presence, have been residents of our community for over 30 years. Their charm has captivated not only me but also hundreds of other community members who share our neighborhood and online spaces. Knowing they pose little harm, many of us see them as a beautiful addition to our environment.
Recently, we've been notified by the management company of our private block of flats that there are plans to cull the foxes residing near us. With notes posted around the gardens, there is a threat of imminent action, instilling fear among both residents and wildlife advocates. The foxes, including their adorable and vulnerable cubs, are now at risk.
More than 400 compassionate individuals on Facebook have expressed outrage over this decision, identifying the notes as a form of intimidation. The suggested deterrents, such as creosote or jayes fluid, are recognized not only as harmful but potentially dangerous to both humans and animals that share this environment.
There must be a more humane and considerate approach to this situation. We propose exploring non-lethal deterrents and working with wildlife experts to safely and ethically manage the presence of these foxes. The aim is to create a harmonious cohabitation setting where wildlife and humans can thrive together without fear.
Your signature can make a difference. Join us in urging the management company to reconsider their decision and seek alternatives that respect the lives of these creatures, while also addressing the concerns of our community. Sign this petition to stop the culling of foxes and protect the beauty they bring to our lives and surroundings.
