This is a call to the Pompano Beach, Florida, Development Review Committee, along with the City and County Commissioners to reject the application by Festival Real Estate, LLC to demolish the FESTIVAL FLEA MARKET aka FESTIVAL MARKETPLACE on Sample Road in Pompano Beach, Florida.

The FESTIVAL has been around for over 30 years serving locals and tourists alike. 

There are hundreds of booths owned by small, local businesspeople.  Many with additional employees.

FESTIVAL booths boast a loyal following of customers who regularly shop at their businesses.  They generate revenue which, in turn, translates into tax dollars for the state, county, and city.

Many of the entrepreneurs at FESTIVAL have been there for over 10 years.  It is their sole source of income. Displacing them would bring financial doom to many of these persons.

Yes, COVID has impacted the FESTIVAL, but folks are coming back and exploring the many shops and items offered at Festival and nowhere else.

Pompano Beach and the surrounding communities need the FESTIVAL, not another warehouse.
