Save The Elms in stonehouse.

Save The Elms in stonehouse.
The Issue
As we have been watching on the news and reading in the papers. The Gloucestershire County Council are looking at potential closing The Elms.
The aim for doing this petition is to get as many signatures to oppose the closure of our/your care home The Elms.
The Elms in Stonehouse is an essential part of the Stonehouse community and surrounding area. It is more then a care home to us it is a big family home.
This is very uncertain times for are care staff but most importantly for are vulnerable residents that came to The Elms because they need 24 hour care and moving them to another care home would unsettle them and course distress.
Yes everyone would like to be cared at home but surely we have a duty of care to the people who cannot look after themselves due to complex needs which require 24 hour care. So with this in mind why is The Elms being put forward for potential closure.
Yes we might not have all the modern equipment or fancy en-suites but when I last looked the care and love came from the staff and is that not want matters the most.
Yes low capacity has been affected but that is due to a global pandemic which has hit every care home hard.
Please save The Elms from potential closure and back our petition as this is very upsetting times for the residents/staff and families to which some have already been through before and now they are facing this uncertain time again
