Hello! Thanks for all of the sharing this group has done to get this petition past 400. Would so appreciate any attempts to bump up the numbers tonight before the big meeting.

I do not have many updates. Except, that the group I have networked with -- that is led by parents of Dual Language students -- is excited to attend the meeting and advocate for the Dual Language Program. And, I am going to make a short, calm, logical speech (that means, partially, that a family member is helping me edit it!) ;)

If you could come to the High School tonight, that would be awesome. Consider checking out the agenda on line. If the budget vote is on the agenda, or is a public hearing, I think that means a person can speak on it early in the meeting. (And, then again, can speak in the generic public comments that happen much later.)

I hope everyone has their own strategy and story to tell. Though, I will say, the school district has been short on answering questions to everyone. And, they have gone very slowly with my Freedom of Information requests. So, if you could ask questions, very specific questions, that might help. I want to corner them on this question: "Do you think this program has great academic or social value to our district?"

I am still into wearing Valentine's Day colors to show that I love the school community and particularly cherish the faculty and staff. So, wear pink, purple, and red if you like. Or, just come and watch the show!
