The board of Detroit Cat Rescue must be removed immediately. The members of the board have been witnesses to countless instances of employees, other board members, volunteers, and community members being bullied, harassed, gaslit, ostracized, assaulted, and chased out of the organization. The owner of the rescue and his partner have manipulated and lied their way into controlling not only the building in which the shelter resides, but the board which decides the practices by which the shelter abides. They are aware of the allegations of sexual assault and misconduct on their part, and have in turn decided to ignore the evidence presented to them, in favor of protecting an alleged sexual predator. In order to preserve the integrity of the rescue and its mission to help the cats in the city of Detroit, the board must be immediately and permanently removed from any position involving the rescue. This is for the health and safety of the cats, and the men and women who care for them.
