The United States Department of Education needs to be protected! 

If our Department of Education is dismantled in the way that the federal government is advocating for, our youth will suffer. Title 1 schools which serve those unable to afford any alternative education would lose funding. Our special needs services will lose funding. Children who do not receive an adequate education are more likely to be involved with crime, develop substance abuse disorders, be abused, be unemployed, and fall into poverty. Our future generations need us now to stand up for their educational rights. University students could stand to lose funding and student loans may also be affected. 

As the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, "everyone has a right to education." The time is now to protect ours.
