Sailboats at access 8 have been here for 3 decades. They add a charisma to this slice of siesta keys beach. Sarasota county goverent is looking to remove the boats and ceasing beach water access. 

Everyday at sunset more than a half a dozen photographers use them as backdrop for couples and families portraits. The boats are icons to what siesta is. 

Sailing is a fun spectacle people love to see the boats sailing off of the beach and into the sunset. 

Catamarans need to be on the beach in order to sail the gulf, where conditions allow for the true experience. This has been a tradition and small part of what Siesta is. Please help keep the nostalgia of siesta key.
