Why this petition matters

Started by Emily Cheng

The reason behind this is simple - the government of the island of Taiwan has announced a not only totally non-humane but also unreasonable regulation that forbids the absolute most of their own people from adopting the pit bulls within the borders and exporting the breed of dogs to any other place in the world, which means the 50 some pit bulls are now facing life-long imprisonment - and the  Taiwanese public shelters are usually dirty and crowded, the animals are not exactly well taken care of in all honesty.
I hereby call for your attention to push for the Taiwanese government to act like a civilized one and release the currently prisoned pit bulls (currently 51 in total kept by the government) from the narrow cages in the public animal shelters and to at least allow them to travel to another place for a new home, and I also call for the attention of all animal protection organizations across the entire world to take this matter seriously - if it is legally allowed for you  to adopt a bull dog in your country, please sign this petition and let's set the pit bulls free, because no life deserve to live in a cage forever, it is semi-death sentence as anyone can obviously tell. Let's rock and roll and instead of run and fail!
