Save the Buffalo Bar, one of London's best-loved music venues
Why this petition matters

The Buffalo Bar is one of London's best-loved music venues. It's played host to acts including The Libertines, Keane, Hot Chip, Bloc Party, The Kooks, Art Brut, The National, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Friendly Fires, Two Door Cinema Club, Martha Wainwright, Stereolab, Futureheads, Bombay Bicycle Club, the Long Blondes, Subways, Frank Sidebottom, The Magic Numbers, Ed Harcourt, Zutons, Mclusky, Oneida, Part Chimp, Electrelane and The Joy Formidable. Its club nights attract music-lovers from across London and beyond, it hosts salsa lessons and comedy, and its bar and door staff are among the best and friendliest around.
It's a venue its freeholder, County Estate Pubs, and its leaseholder, Stonegate Pub Company (which owns Slug & Lettuce, Yates's and Scream bars), should be proud of.
Instead, County Estate Pubs plans to evict the Buffalo Bar; leaving us without our favourite nights out and its staff without jobs. There are no plans for the basement - it's likely the venue will remain empty; a blow to the economy of this part of the capital.
It's simple. The Buffalo Bar has good music, beer (and vodka shots), friendly faces and a late licence - all we need for a night out, and increasingly difficult to find with so many London venues shutting their doors.
We call on County Estate Pubs and Stonegate to work with the Buffalo Bar to keep the venue alive.
Save the Buffalo Bar!
