Everyone:

May I thank everyone out there for signing this petition since it went live in November 2023. The aim of the petition was to save at least one Class 455 carriage when the new SWR trains come into service, with the first trains coming into service on 9th January 2024.

There has been some heartbreaking news - it has been announced that SWR have announced a Class 455 Farewell tour on 21st December 2025 - and currently there are only 39 units left in service (with 97 scrapped so far).

We urgently need more support for this petition to keep these trains alive and not an extinct species, like the class 456s and 442s!
