The Issue

Growing up, I have always had a passion for farming, especially working with livestock.

Bottrill Street farms has allowed that dream to become a reality via volunteering on site, caring, grooming and feeding animals was just the beginning, once the day one nerves subsided and the bonds started to form, understanding and providing for each animal based on personality preference and vocal cues.

I have a deeper found understanding of life, and business management, skills I wouldn’t have had opportunities to learn.

Bottrill Street Farm is more than just a place with cows and sheep; it’s a vibrant contribution to our community, giving children and adults the chance to interact with animals for free. It offers an educational experience, allowing kids to witness and learn about wildlife in its natural form rather than from textbooks. This farm has become a sanctuary for animal enthusiasts, an educational haven for schools, and a joyful backdrop for family outings.

The cows and sheep residing here are not just animals; they are friends to many and integral parts of our community. Relocating them would not only affect their lives but also strip the community of an important educational resource and an interactive environment that many locals treasure.

It’s crucial that we preserve Bottrill Street Farm for future generations, ensuring that children continue to experience the wonder of interacting with animals and feel the joy and enrichment it brings. Let's put aside the minor inconvenience of the smell to keep the farm alive.

Please sign this petition to show your support for the Bottrill Street cows, sheep, and the spirit of community it fosters. With your help, we can ensure that these animals remain in their rightful home and continue to bring joy and education to Nuneaton.
