Save The Beech Tree Update #3
In 2021, when the country was under lockdown and millions of people around the world were dying of Covid, a planning application was quietly made to build on the area of natural land next to 42 Southfield Way Tiverton, Devon.
The land in question is the home to a colony of over a hundred rooks and wild animals all protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act of 1981. There is also a beautiful towering beech tree which is protected inter a (TPO) tree protection order. And yet planning permission was approved by Mid-Devon Council.
If we cannot save one protected tree how are we ever going to save the planet and stop runaway global warming?
