I have just learned that the government are going to KILL OFF about 450,000 barred owls over the next thirty years. I started tearing up just thinking about this. Do we understand how inhumane this is? Their reasoning is because the barred owls are territorial and violent towards the Northern Spotted owl. THIS IS NATURAL. All birds and other animals are naturally competitive. It's the freaking circle of LIFE we are talking about. Nature doing its business. It's not right for us to be shooting down owls that are just being themselves. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read this article and find out how you can rebel against these atrocities. End the Bloody ½-Million Owls Slaughter Once & Forever . 

This article brings up many great points. They explained, "The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) claims this brutal, unprecedented slaughter would "protect" the northern spotted owl from having to “compete” with barred owls, unscientifically labeling barred owls as “invasive,” even though they have been protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act for over 100 years. The USFWS ignores that the two species of owls are not just competitors (which is natural), but that they also mate, producing offspring that we humans label “sparred” owls. The killing campaign also ignores that barred owls are migrating from their eastern U.S. habitat to western states because humans have driven them out of their eastern forest homes with logging and climate change (global warming), which is itself accelerated by logging". I am only 15 years old and I can't use the money you donate until I turn 18, so please don't donate any more money! The money that has been donated already will be transferred over soon to fund I.D.A.

Lastly, WE NEED OWLS! Owls are crucial for maintaining ecological balance, and controlling pest populations, and without most of the Barred owls WE will suffer, our local farmers will suffer, and so will wildlife.
