Hello Supporters, We are in week two of the campaign to Save the Aucoin Family Farm, and together we have been influential.....yay "Team Awesome"!!! On April 9, 2018 the property owners did receive communication from the Town of Kippens to advise that the three (3) stop work and removal orders have been rescinded as an interim measure. The Town of Kippens will continue to conduct a review of their concerns cited in coordination with legal counsel, Municipal Affairs and Environment NL, and the Farm Industry Review Board NL to make an informed decision. Given that the current communication is only an interim measure, the matter is yet to be resolved and we cannot declare victory nor stop this call of action for concerned citizens. It is recognized that the Town of Kippens will be holding their regular council meeting on April 12, 2018. It is hoped that shortly thereafter the minutes from the March 2018 meeting will be published on the town website for further clarification as to how the original decision was made to issue the stop/removal orders for the Aucoin Family Farm. In closing, a message from Gerard's wife Cora "We both love the Farm, our lifestyle, and the animals (which are like pets to us). Gerard is a very humble, honest, hardworking man who is living his dream. We live very private lives and do not like conflict or media attention, yet we find ourselves in the midst of it. We would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to all who have stood behind our cause during this most difficult time. We will be forever grateful. Thank you so much". PS our work is not done yet, continue to share .
