Save the Astrodome

The Issue

Show Harris County Elected Officials that it’s time to reimagine the Astrodome.

The Astrodome opened in 1965 and instantly became the symbol of our city — Houston’s innovative, can-do spirit that was embodied in the race to space, energy exploration, and playing baseball indoors in the air conditioning. The Dome changed the game for stadiums and arenas across the county and the world. And it remains the most recognizable landmark in Houston to those across the globe.

The Dome was the heart of Houston’s culture and entertainment for decades, and it can be again in the future. The Astrodome Conservancy is working with stakeholders and partners to bring forth a solution to the question of what to do with the Dome.  A creative, innovative, viable concept that can once again show the world that anything is possible in Houston.

Join us in showing Harris County leaders that the Astrodome matters to the people of Houston, and help us ensure a bright future for the iconic 8th Wonder of the World.

Sign the petition to let Harris County Commissioners Court know you support the Astrodome’s future.
