I'm one of seven board members who will be tasked with approving a budget that includes a $50M shortfall; all of our schools are feeling the pinch, and while I understand the advocacy coming from the Buckman community, I am elected to represent ALL Portland Public School communities, including those we don't hear from.

I love Buckman School. I attended there for a short while in the 5th grade, and took an afterschool sewing class. I'll do my best to balance advocating for strong schools with adopting a balanced budget.
