Mayor Chandler and Arcadia City Council is in negotiations with housing developers to sell the Arcadia Par 3 Golf Course for short-sighted, short-term cash influx.

The Arcadia Par 3 Golf Course has been a fixture in the Arcadia community since 1957.

It serves as a community gathering place, provides essential green space in an urban sprawl environment, and positively benefits nearby property values. To replace this golf course with apartment complexes would reduce the property value of all of the surrounding homes, displace a large number of wildlife, and remove an essential recreation and meeting place for Arcadia residents.
