Lauderdale County is a small county in West TN. Like most counties, they have an animal shelter. Recently, it was discovered that the head of the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter has been extremely cruel to these animals, putting them down by shooting them instead of euthanizing them with medicines. The head of the animal shelter is known as Terry Kissell. His reasoning for doing this? “The paperwork had issues.” Instead of putting them down humanely, he instilled fear into these poor animals, as if living some or most of their lives in a shelter wasn’t enough. Even though he admitted to doing this, he was investigated by local police and still has his position in power over the shelter because “there was no evidence to back this up”. News Channel 3 in Memphis posted an article about this situation on their website, but it simply isn’t enough. I’m asking you to help and sign this petition so we can get Terry fired and get somebody more responsible over the shelter.
