The shelters across America are practicing animal cruelty by treating them like inmates who are in solitary confinement. The dogs and cats are deprived of sunlight, space to move around, love, and affection. As each day goes by, they become more depressed disabling them to know how to interact with people in a home environment. Decreasing their chances of ever becoming adopted. Where is our tax money going to? Animals in a shelter should have outdoor activities, proper bedding, interaction with the other animals if they are not feral. Even if they are feral, the workers who are getting paid by the city should be trained extensively to know how to allow the dog/cat to become more trusting by showing that they are truth worthy enabling them to be able to be around humans and other animals.
