Save the 1898 Bishop Road Bridge

Save the 1898 Bishop Road Bridge
The Issue
The iconic Bishop Road steel truss bridge spans the Yellow Breeches Creek between Cumberland and York Counties. The bridge was constructed in 1898 and represents the last chapter in the history of the prolific Wrought Iron Bridge Company. The bridge has been identified as being eligible to be included on the National Register of Historic Places however it is currently under threat of demolition by Cumberland County.
Upper Allen Township has a unique opportunity to acquire and restore the bridge but time is of the essence and we need your help!
If you would like to see the bridge saved, sign this petition to ask Upper Allen Township to acquire and restore this piece of our local heritage.
Thank you VERY much and please share with friends and family!!
