The Columbia Heights dog park (at 11th and Park NW) is on WMATA (Metro) property. Right now, Metro is discussing a plan to sell the land and close our park. We would like Metro instead to set up an agreement with 11th & Bark, a Columbia Heights-based 501(c)(3), so it could keep the park open and even improve it for the dogs and the community. Or, we would like the District to buy the property and turn it into an official city dog park.
