SAVE THE FILM AS LITERATURE CLASS AT TERRA NOVA!

The Film Class at Terra Nova is an important alternative to standard English classes. It allows students to analyze and create artistic literature, explore filmography, and pursue their creative endeavors while supplementing the required English curriculum. By canceling the class, students lose this opportunity. 

Many students at Terra Nova have been waiting to take Film as Literature since their freshman year. There is an avid community of people who appreciate the arts at this school. No longer offering Film for the 2025-2026 school year would be a massive blow to said community. 

Plenty of students are interested in Film as Lit, enough to justify keeping the class for next school year. Additionally, opening the class for incoming juniors to apply would increase the class size even more.

There is enough interest in Film as Literature to justify keeping it at Terra Nova. By signing this petition, you can demonstrate the value that Film has to TN students. If you would like to support Film and ensure that you are in the class as a junior or senior next year, talk to your counselor about changing your course selection.
