Sign this petition to help Blantyre Youth Development Team save Terminal One Youth Centre.
The Blantyre Youth Development Team have been operating from Terminal One youth centre for almost 25 years. Terminal One Youth Centre is a youth and community project run by young people for the whole community, located in Blantyre. Terminal One Youth Centre also provides and manages services in Burnbank and Hillhouse. Our services include; youth clubs, expressive arts, music, street dance, football and many more.
On Friday 5th February 2016, representatives of the BYDT met with South Lanarkshire Council officials who advised that they are unwilling to maintain, or make necessary repairs to the fabric of the building beyond summer 2016 and as a consequence of this decision, they insist that they will have to close the building after this period.
For the moment, Terminal One services will continue as normal.
