Why do we want this?

• Swimming pool changes including a new bookings process, timetable changes resulting in the removal of some sessions, and a lack of continuity with teaching staff. 
• Appalling swimming staff employment conditions, an enforced pay cut for the swimming teachers, and the resignation of pool staff resulting in cancelled classes.
• A fitness class timetable where the room stands idle more than it is used.
• A health suite which has been so badly neglected that is closed more than it is open and the Trustees have needed to allocate our money for a total refurbishment instead of simple maintenance, which hasn’t happened by the end of this fiscal year as reported by the Trustees.
• User indirect disability discrimination, discrimination arising from disability, and a failure to make anticipatory reasonable adjustments.
• No complaints policy, procedure or complaints register.
• A lack of transparent pricing, no price list on display, price increases.
• Overselling of memberships such that a waiting list system had to be introduced (as well as a swimming pool bookings system).
• No membership refunds when services are unavailable.
• Unilateral decision making. No consultation with the users and no openness to engaging with user representatives.
• Lack of transparency in respect of how the performance of the Serco Leisure Operating Ltd contract is measured and assessed.
• Neglect to the facility over many years in terms of day to day maintenance. No maintenance schedule.
• Lack of cleaning and basic hygiene.

Would you trust your money to a company that overturned a compulsory strike off notice on the basis of a parent letter of support for "at least 12 months" "which is not legally binding" and expires on 15th December 2023?
