Please take the time to read and share this post as we are at a huge risk of losing our ambulance service here in Strathcona County. This would mean our service would be taken over by the lowest bidder with inadequately trained and understaffed ambulances responding to YOUR 911 calls. At 9:00am on Tuesday May 12th council will vote on this matter and make a final decision so every email, share and repost counts. Losing this service now would most likely mean forever. Once lost it is extremely hard to get back. A small 0.73% tax increase (only $1.43 per month) could be what saves your loved ones life or your own in an emergency. Our integrated service that we currently run is one of the strongest in the province and we are so fortunate to have them there whenever we may need. Losing our ground ambulance service means longer wait times, undertrained staff and a lack of ACP’s (advanced care paramedics) responding to calls.
