Save St Paul’s Rectory Garden

The Issue

The Rectory Garden at St Paul’s Church, West Hackney, Stoke Newington, is a unique Victorian garden, used and loved by many local people and vulnerable groups linked to St Paul’s Church and the wider community.

It is also an essential space for local nature and part of a broader ecology that includes the neighbouring park and gardens.

The Diocese of London, who own the Rectory building and gardens, are proposing to sell off the Rectory for private development and build on the gardens.

We ask the Diocese of London to reconsider these plans, to put nature and the well being of our community first and commit to maintaining this historic site as a home for nature and space for the local community.
