Hi everyone, thanks so much for supporting us in this cause! We still don’t have answers from St. Matthews, but God works in mysterious ways. The Director, Jillian Patterson, and Assistant Director, Shannon Gort, want to open a brand new ELC! They are in the process of securing a building and need feedback from the community on interest in enrollment at Excel ELC! The location would be nearby in Metairie and it would be privately owned and operated by family, so no 3rd parties getting involved at all! Below is a message from Shannon’s daughter, Becca Gort Alvarez:

If you don’t know me my name is Rebecca and I am Shannon’s daughter. I have been tied to the ELC for 16 years. My husband and I are mapping out the possibility of opening a new center and hiring the ELC management team as well as some of the teachers. This has been a dream in the works for several years now. It is not a middle of the night random thought. For us to see if this is even possible we are trying to hear from parents about who would be interested in attending. I am a mom of 5 and I know that transitions can be really hard. We do not expect parents to put their kids through another transition. Especially the older ones. We are hoping to open In April-May.
