An ill-informed review of the Cathedral Music Department has promised to make Jacinta Jakovcevic redundant as Director of Music on 2 DECEMBER 2024.  Help us protect our beloved organist!

Preserve Our Beloved Leader: 

The current director, Jacinta Jakovcevic, has tirelessly built a music program that enriches both the Cathedral and the wider community. Replacing her not only threatens her life’s work but also disconnects us from the heart of our  Cathedral’s music.

Safeguard Transparency and Trust: 

This decision was made without proper transparency or stakeholder involvement, overlooking core Church principles of accountability and consultation. Support this petition to ensure decisions reflect the values we expect from our church leaders. 

Protect a Flourishing Program: 

The proposed restructure threatens to dismantle a highly successful,  community-supported program, severing critical relationships with schools,  local musicians, and even international networks. Help us save a legacy of excellence and community engagement.
