Spruce Bank needs you again on Saturday, January 28!

We need volunteers to help clear brush from the northern end of 331 Danbury Road, one likely spot on the property where 18th century Wilton Land Records indicate Spruce Bank Burying Ground is located.

We will be searching for any visible surface level traces, such as headstones. Late 19th century sources tell us to expect none, but we must check.

We will be preparing the site for archaeologists to use Ground Penetrating Radar and other methods to discover underground evidence of burials.

Bring pruning shears / loppers and a thick pair of gloves (expect thorns)
