Sports are incredibly important to many families in Easthampton. Sports are not just games; they are a lifeline for many students—a positive outlet fostering teamwork, leadership, and perseverance. Unfortunately, we are facing a dire situation where these opportunities are at risk due to potential budget cuts.

If the override vote does not pass, there is a significant chance that Easthampton High School (EHS) will not have sufficient funds to sustain our sports programs, starting as early as Fall 2026.

Without sports, many students will lose this critical outlet of expression and growth. It is our concern that some may transfer out of EHS to other schools that offer these crucial programs. The loss of students could lead to a downward spiral, affecting both our school and our town profoundly. We cannot stand by and watch this happen.
