New questions posed by Jessica Collins, admin of the Facebook group Spearmint the Seal Appreciation Society:

"Does the RSPCA disagree with the seals living in the seal sanctuaries, should they have all been euthanased in their opinion? Is Ray and the other residents suffering and living an unhappy life? I don't think so, they have an amazing team looking after them.

"If they deem Spearmint 'stressed' due to captivity, how can this be compared her current situation with that of a shared pool in the seal sanctuary with a more natural environment. Without trying her at a sanctuary they won't know if she would be stressed there or not. More evidence is needed.

"Obviously we still want her to get better and be rereleased.
None of this would have happened if people hadn't fed and habituated her. It is tragic that we are even in this situation having to discuss these issues.

"I know the team at Westhatch are working so very hard to help get Spearmint better but the call to euthanase won't be theirs to make, it will be head office. Please keep signing the petition so we can pass this over to them."
