Update:

We have been issued a removal order for Sparks also for the removal of the home where he's finally had a life! You can't rip a abused pony from his life and just place him anywhere! Rip this pony from my daughters arms! I don't think so!!

What your doing might be legal but is it humane!? Shame on the TOWN OF SUMMERFORD!! Finally since 1997 you've decided to change the town plan! Why only include chickens (6 fowls) Some things should just be left alone!! Thank You - A broken hearted family! 

The best life!

A little story about Sparks, please correct me if I'm a little wrong, Mark! 

Our friend, Mark purchased Sparks a little over 10 years ago! Where did he come from and what was his life like before!? 

No one is really 100% on that one but we do know he was traumatized so he's always needed a little extra care and love! 

He was rescued from St. John's. Lived his life in the back of a bus. He had fleas and skin infections, his hoofs were that bad he couldn't walk, underweight and malnourished. He is petrified of fire so who knows what he's went through in his life.

What do you want to take him with the possibility of that happening again!? 

Through all that he is so well behaved. Rylee can saddle him up and ride him anywhere. He has visitors that come from near & far! The kids love him. He's definitely a town celebrity.  Featured in a issue of the down homer & is hanging on the wall of the auk island winery! 

When Mark got sick he could no longer take care of him like he wanted so we offered to take him. He's still a part of their family! We made sure to build him a barn with a high roof so that he wouldn't be afraid to go in. He's so happy here! 

We had no idea that he wasn't aloud in this town. He was here for 5 years with zero issues, he was always out in the open it was never a secret! At that time a lot of people had animals so why would we even question it!? If he wasn't aloud shouldn't someone have been notified!?
Who are these people that have issues with him? No one that lives around us, I can tell you that!! It's been 10 years speak up!!

We don't have other farm animals just our little pony! Every little girls's dream!

We have a blind old English sheepdog, a huge saint pyrenees, three cats, two rabbits and our beautiful shetland pony, Sparks. If you know us you know our animals are our life. Well taken care of. If someone had to come here and remove him I’d never live with myself.

Can you imagine someone coming and ripping your dog from your arms!? I've seen dogs tied on in this town for year's with barely a shelter and food! Focus on that!! 

We've spent thousands of dollars on Sparks and we love him like a family member. I'll be damned if I give into this Town (Summerford). He's not going anywhere unless I decide to move him! You were ignorant to the fact of him being here for all those years I guess I'll plead the same!
