Every.single.day. There are animals in high kill shelters, especially in the United States which have an overwhelming amount of animals. Some are strays, some are surrendered, some are over bred, some have sustained substantial abuse and neglect. These poor babies don’t have a voice, they don’t have a CHOICE, it is up to us to speak up for them.

It has come to my attention that a lot of the shelters don’t keep the animals long, which means they don’t have a long time to live because they would rather make money. If they were given more time, the animals would have greater chances of finding their furever homes.

This is sickening, and saddens me to my core! They never asked to be in this world, they never asked to go through all of the pain and the suffering. Some are marked “vicious” or whatever, because they’re freaking petrified!! But yet, they’re ok outside of their kennels.. they don’t even properly test them, they just say “oh, well he’s vicious cause we can’t approach him” when clearly the dog is trembling in a corner while someone tried to THROW a collar on them to pull them out!!!!

I am asking that everybody sign this petition, that everybody go stand outside their local shelters day after day, demanding change. Imagine being in their shoes, being behind bars, being afraid because you don’t know where you are or what’s happening, imagine your parents surrendering you, and you’re wondering where they went? Are they coming back? Why is it so loud and cold in here? And not having any idea on what’s going on. They euthanize them, especially the cats they throw them in garbage bags until they are cremated. Animals are not disposable, and it’s time for us to step up for them. Demand change. Speak for those who cannot speak.

The purpose of human life, is to serve and protect those who cannot protect themselves!
