Save Shaggy!

Save Shaggy!
The Issue
Shaggy, a 5-year-old Romanian rescue Street dog, who has had difficult life.
In 2020, Keith and Jane rescued him and brought him to the UK. After a difficult settling in period, Shaggy has turned into a very loving and sociable family pet.
In this time, Shaggy has become very protective of his home and unfortunately 15 months ago, Shaggy bit 2 strangers who entered his garden. There were signs up warning people of the dog which they chose to ignore.
Since then, Keith and Jane have increased the security by replacing the gate and adding a padlock and there has been no further incidents or near misses.
As a result of these biting incidents, on the 28th of June this year, a judge ordered Shaggy to be put down on the 20th of this month.
We are calling on the judge to reconsider his decision and spare Shaggy's life. We believe that Shaggy is not a danger to anyone, and that he deserves a second chance. We hope that the judge will take into account all of the factors involved in this case, including he has never shown any aggression outside of these incidents.
Please sign our petition to help us save Shaggy's life.

Update. Shaggy’s case has been deferred until the 17th of August. The victim has been asked to provide photos of the bite marks.
