Secret Garden Cafe are the heart of Bute Park but they've been served with a notice to quit* from Cardiff Council who want to run a tender for the lease. 

Cardiff Council say this is a legal requirement but independent legal experts disagree.

Secret Garden Cafe is well loved by many across Cardiff, it is a unique, community-creating, sustainable, honest cafe, staffed by a team of lovely people. And they do amazing food!

They have:

• Survived all the COVID lockdowns and recent energy and supplier cost hikes
• Invested £100k+ in the business
• Raised £5,000 to repair and replace trees that were vandalised
• Made 6,000 meals for NHS staff during the pandemic
• Raised £18k+ for charity
• 9 lovely staff 

I believe Cardiff Council and Bute Park should be supporting this amazing, sustainable, ethical, local, independent business by extending their lease without tender.
