
If planning permission is granted for this wind farm the volume of concrete underground cannot fail to affect the water which falls on Rooley Moor which at present soaks into the peat bogs and into our reservoirs.
It is feared that instead some of this water will flow into the contaminated former asbestos site of TBA lower down Rooley Moor potentially causing it to flood and flush the dangerous asbestos into our rivers and waterways. The TBA site has been derelict for many years as it is considered too dangerous to disturb the asbestos. How can we now let this happen?
