Hello Friends!

Today I had a meeting with Dr. Rose (Director of Student Services) and Dr. Trovatore (Director of Secondary Curriculum and Instruction) at 2:30pm.
Recommended guidelines on school commemoration - Children’s Hospital of LA , National Center for School Crisis and Bereavement

I discussed saving Samantha a chair on the field for the WCHS Class of 2024 graduation, bringing up policies (no policy is against her having a seat) and her receiving her honorary diploma (which he said they would do!). However Sam’s Chair is up for discussion with Denise Knutsen(Assistant Superintendent) who will likely be attending the 

Board Meeting at the WCUSD

on Tuesday, April 23 @ 6PM (open to the public). 

I will still be attending on April 23rd to advocate on behalf of my sister and those who support her, while also bringing this topic to attention of other district members. 

We have shown that this seat for Sam isn’t just a request, but something that is supported by community members and friends.
