Save Royse City from the Rockwall Outer Loop!

Save Royse City from the Rockwall Outer Loop!
The Issue
As a proud resident of Royse City, I have witnessed the unique charm and simplicity of this small town that many of us call home. Our strong sense of community, small-town ambiance, and the beauty of our landscapes, farmlands, and natural lands are integral to our way of life. Unfortunately, these values that we hold dear are glaringly threatened by the proposed major highway loop by the Texas Department of Transportation.
This major highway loop is not just an inconvenience, for us, it's a complete disruption of our lives, and the essence of Royse City we cherish. It threatens our residential communities, farmlands, and natural lands. More so, it creates traffic and infrastructure issues in an area already struggling with existing road networks to support our growing population. Royse City is a warm, growing rural town, and many have chosen to move here for this precise small-town appeal, not for a major highway traffic.
Further, this proposed highway will likely cause a significant drop in property values and may even raise crime rates. This is not the Royse City we know and love. This is not the Royse City we want to leave for our kids. By going through with this proposed highway loop, we'll be robbing our future generations of the pleasure of growing up in the small-town America that we love and value.
Now, we call upon the Texas Department of Transportation to reconsider their proposal and pick a new location for this loop, one that won't drastically impede on the lives of Royse City residents. Let's treasure the unique charm of our town and not trade it over for a road. We need your signature to maintain the Royse City we love. Please, sign this petition.
