Save Rogan the XL Bully from unjust destruction before it is too late.

Save Rogan the XL Bully from unjust destruction before it is too late.
The Issue
Rogan, an XL Bully, is facing destruction not because of his actions, but due to the negligence of his owner. Carlisle Magistrates Court heard Linda Kenney was "out of it" on either alcahol or drugs and did nothing to stop Rogan her XL Bully from attacking another dog and his owner. Rogan was wearing a muzzle which had apparently partly slipped off. Judge Imran Hussain only gave her a four month suspended sentence and has ordered for Rogan to be destroyed. Is this fair?
It's heartbreaking to witness how many XL Bullies suffer the same fate, not because they are inherently dangerous, but because they are often mishandled by individuals who either fail to provide the necessary training or, worse, deliberately train them to act aggressively.
Breed-specific prejudices have unfortunately led to many XL Bullies being unfairly judged. The stigma surrounding these dogs is often fueled by the irresponsible behavior of certain owners who lack the knowledge and dedication needed to properly care for such breeds. These dogs, by nature, are not malevolent. Rather, it is the environment they are raised in and the guidance they receive that shape their behavior.
The primary role of any dog owner is to ensure their pet's wellbeing and safety of others which Linda Kenney clearly failed to do. This involves appropriate training, consistent supervision, and understanding the breed's specific needs. Positive reinforcement training programs are crucial and can help mitigate behavioral issues that might otherwise lead to tragic outcomes.
Rogan's case is emblematic of a larger issue where well-meaning dogs are penalized for the faults of humans. Linda Kenney shlukd have never taken Rogan out that day as she was not fit to guide and control Rogan.
The focus should be on improving the accountability measures for dog owners to prevent such heart-breaking scenarios in the future instead of destroying these breeds.
I urge Judge Imran Hussain at Carisle Magistrates Court to reconsider Rogan's fate and allow him the chance to be rehabilitated. There are many success stories of rescued XL Bullies who, through proper care and training, have transformed into loving, loyal companions.
Please, let's not let Rogan suffer the consequences of human error. Sign this petition to call for a fair assessment of Rogan's situation, seeking a solution that emphasizes rehabilitation and education over destruction. Your signature could help save Rogan's life and pave the way for a better understanding of XL Bullies everywhere. We need to act quickly to save Rogan.
If anyone has any ideas on any charities or organisations that I could approach to save Rogan, please put your suggestions through the comments section and I will try to reach out to these organisations. Thank you.
