This past Saturday evening an “olive branch” per say was extended to our group from the "Build a HS in Elkridge" group for supporters to help them in their mission and fight for the High School in Elkridge. That Jon Weinstein and our Executive had taken if off the table. As we all know politicians in general will word anything to make you feel they are on your side. To be clear in that statement…. I am not saying our Councilman and our Executive are not on our side, I am speaking of “politicians” in general. So never assume Rockburn is safe until it is in writing that it will NEVER AGAIN BE an option. With that said…. On Saturday evening I posted asking people not to RUSH into anything to PLEASE wait until more information was secure in the fact the “Build a HS” group would 100% support our mission to SAVE ROCKBURN PARK. To wait to accept that so called Olive Branch. That next day as well as yesterday I was again pulled through all kinds of mud and dirt for not accepting their terms or the fact I wouldn’t push supporters to join and support their group. Here below is their “NEW” petition. Please take note to the wording. There is NO words that state they are NOT accepting Rockburn Park as an option for them for HS 13 or 14 it states they are not “discussing". I stand behind my comment the other day in I will NOT entertain their offers until it is fully stated they want a HS in Elkridge but NOT on Rockburn Park. That Rockburn is NOT an option ever. That is how we come together! This group of Save Rockburn supporters are for just that, To SAVE ROCKBURN PARK. We are not against a High School in Elkridge we are against a High School built on ROCKBURN PARK. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE..... Be careful in signing or online signing of anything. Make sure what you are putting your name to actually states Rockburn Park will be safe. At this time I still fear Rockburn is not safe until it is in legal writing. This is something hopefully to come in 2018. PLEASE keep sharing this petition and if possible come to the Event at Rockburn Park on January 20, 2018. We know it will be cold but just showing your face will make an impact. Thanks again for all you guys have done so far!!!!
