Latest News Regarding Byfron

I have an important update for you about Roshade and its compatibility with Roblox due to the recent introduction of Roblox's new Anti-Cheat system, Hyperion (aka Byfron).

To continue using Roshade without disruption, we recently introduced the Roshade launcher. However, this does not work anymore as of now, and we are waiting for Roblox to whitelist Roshade. As of now, Roblox does not view Roshade as being malicious - which is a good sign!

We want to assure you that we are working with Roblox developer relations to resolve this issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, please be patient and stay safe! We genuinely appreciate your continued support and understanding.

Technical Explanation

In our recent developments, we have discovered that Reshade does indeed get loaded in when utilizing our digital signature. Technically, this means that Reshade is almost functioning as expected. However, the issue we currently face is that Roblox is actively blocking the overlay and graphics that Reshade provides. As a result, while Reshade is being loaded by Roblox, you cannot view or access its effects and settings.

We have reached out to Roblox's developer relations and have shared our concerns with them. They have provided us with potential solutions to this problem, although we are still awaiting more detailed information before proceeding. There is a possibility that we may be able to resolve this problem on our own, given the right guidance from Roblox's end.

During this process, we have actively collaborated with various members of the Roblox open-source community and the Reshade community, including Crosire, who is the creator of Reshade. By working together, we hope to find a viable solution that will enable you to enjoy shaders in Roblox again.
