Since August 2018, Ridge Route Drive, a road in Lebec, CA, serving residents, property owners, utilities, and emergency response vehicles has been radically altered and unlawfully obstructed. In addition to the loss of free use of this legal easement, a fake "connecting" road has been carved through 5 private properties, which has been unlawfully traveled across. Likely hazardous asphalt waste from the nearby Flying J Truck Stop demolition in recent years has been illegally dumped onto this road, also large boulders . The location of this dumping is within a Restricted Use Area (Storm Drainage, Flood Hazard Zone) per Kern County records. Lebec water does not need more pollutants entering its system.  It is of record that fire department and utility access is completely hindered. Traffic on Lebec Road is burdened and threatened by the hazards associated with unlawful traffic exiting and entering the "fake connecting road". Residents only want to prevent a disaster likely to result from this situation. Long time Lebec resident and veteran Daniel Gilbert Tarr (now 77 years old) was the first to make an official complaint.  He now faces numerous charges, both misdemeanor and felony, stemming from allegations made by individual(s) responsible for the roads. Mr. Tarr is in his 4th year of court appearances with still no trial. Ridge Route Drive remains in violation of Fire Marshal Memorandum to clear and remove all obstructions, dated 09/13/2018, just one month after Mr. Tarr raised his concerns for the community.
