One of our members emailed the three main parliamentary candidates for Ilam asking their views on PC14.  We have already posted their responses. Raf Manji responded first.

- He wants density in the CBD first before we think about apartment blocks in Riccarton
- He thinks we have invested huge $$$ into the central city rebuild and that's where our focus should be
- He knows infill housing and increased density is already possible under the current plan post-earthquakes
- The medium desnity standards, as clearly stated by Council, do not suit the planning landscape we put into place after the earthquakes
- he thinks this whole thing needs another look from central government, which is what he plans to do if elected
